Welcome to Carmel Community, Inc.

Carmel Community, Inc. (CCI)
is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization since June 1980. Since the beginning, we have sponsored programs for children, the disabled and seniors. One of our first programs, “Dance People”, worked with dance and therapeutic fitness. CCI has proudly collaborated with the Jobs Training Partnership Act and the Chandler Center for the Arts to provide summer programs. We have developed and launched programs such as “Dance and Sing Along” for seniors and developed a performance company specifically for the disabled.

In 1995, Arizona granted Carmel Community the first charter to open a public charter school, Carmel Community Arts & Technology, a K-12 public education program. During our operations of several charter schools in Arizona, CCI developed sustainable, proven integrated educational programs, a student led Production Company, and a Student Academic Management System (SAMS) to help students take charge of their own academic achievement.

In 2001, CCI was awarded a Federal Dissemination Grant to share its knowledge of integrating Arizona State Standards for Arts, Technology and Workplace Skills into the general curriculum. Workshops were approved for Masters Level Credit through ASU West.

CCI founded the program “Attention Tech Learning Center” (ATLC) in 2003. Attention Tech utilizes programs specifically designed to work with children and adults with attention and focusing problems. ATLC is an approved Supplemental Education Services (SES) provider through the Federal Title I program to provide tutoring services for students in underperforming schools. ATLC operates a private tutoring program to help students in all academic areas as well as with cognitive training. Attention Tech is beginning to work with the medical community to provide clinical support for children and adults with ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Mild Autism.

In 2006, Carmel Community operated a Multi-Cultural Arts Community Center in Chandler Arizona.

Today, we are taking all that we have developed and learned and making it to make it available to you. Please take your time and look around. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us, and a CCI representative will respond promptly.
